What to expect from me
Hi, I'm Alexandra! I grew up in the Pittsburgh suburbs, and later graduated from and worked at Pitt in the mathematics department. I come to this as a peer support worker, so I work outside of the traditional mental healthcare systems.
What I’m Passionate About
Who I Work With
I'm a trans woman, sex worker, and community organizer. I come to this work from a belief in the best care being community care and the power of sharing our common experiences to heal one another. I'm particularly interested in helping people who are working through questions and thoughts about transition/gender dysphoria, people who are in or have been in the sex work industry, and those in activist spaces or dealing with legal repression. I also am happy to talk to people about academic struggles and/or feeling like an outsider in academia.
Me When I’m Not a Therapist
I spend most of my time on various community projects! When I'm home, I love to spend time with my partner and cat, play chess, and read. One day, I will catch a fish.
