A quick note about finding your therapist at TC:

We have a dedicated intake team to examine what you are seeking as a client. While there may be a certain modality, such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) or ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) you are seeking, please note that ALL OF TC’s THERAPISTS practice with these modalities in mind, though liberation psychology calls upon many different forms of therapy and does not limit itself to one or two modalities.

Clients often come with a particular therapist in mind– however, availability may be limited and many times there’s another clinician (therapist) who actually suits their needs even better.

Please trust the process.

What to expect from me

Hi I am Alexis and I am honored to have the opportunity to work with you during this part of your journey. The world feels extremely overwhelming right now, and while therapy cannot fix every broken system or solve all the stress, uncertainty or exhaustion that we carry, I believe real value and change can happen when we create spaces for people to feel supported, connected and less alone in fighting the fight and navigating it all. I believe that healing can happen through community, authenticity, and learning to care for ourselves while also showing up for one another and pushing back against the systems that impact us.

My Therapy Style

My therapy style is conversational, collaborative, supportive and reflective. I believe that therapy should feel human and approachable, and that growth happens at a pace that feels manageable and meaningful for each individual. I enjoy bringing laughter into the space and will encourage you to do what you need to feel comfortable during our time together (eating, drinking, fidgeting, using comfort items etc). I like to incorporate art and play therapy approaches when appropriate (or requested) and my approach is strength-based and person-centered.

What I’m Passionate About

I am very passionate about helping others recognize their strengths, build confidence, and develop a stronger sense of self. I value helping individuals cultivate self-esteem, deepen self-understanding, and feel more connected to themselves and their communities. I believe that healing and growth are often supported through meaningful relationships and having spaces where people feel seen, accepted and encouraged to show up fully as themselves.

Who I Work With

I have experience working in a variety of settings with clients across different stages of life. My work particularly focused on supporting children, adolescents and young adults, especially those with marginalized identities as they navigate challenges related to identity, relationships, anxiety, stress, self-advocacy, emotional wellness and life transitions.

Me When I’m Not a Therapist

Outside of my role as a therapist, I love playing, laughing and exploring with my daughter. I also love spending time with family and friends. I recently started taking a West African dance class and I am trying to get more into biking for fun. In my downtime I like working on puzzles and watching movies.
