  • What is a Transitional Character?

At our core, Transitional Characters is more than just a name — it’s a declaration of who we serve and what we believe is possible.

A transitional character is someone who changes the course of their lineage. They choose healing over harm. They break cycles of violence, disconnection, silence, or survivalism — not just for themselves, but for those who come after them.

In liberation psychology, we understand that our struggles are never just individual. We live in systems that have shaped our pain, our coping, and our relationships. Transitional Characters exist at the intersection of personal and collective transformation — people who dare to say “this ends with me.”

This is the work of liberation.
