A quick note about finding your therapist at TC:
We have a dedicated intake team to examine what you are seeking as a client. While there may be a certain modality, such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) or ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) you are seeking, please note that ALL OF TC’s THERAPISTS practice with these modalities in mind, though liberation psychology calls upon many different forms of therapy and does not limit itself to one or two modalities.
Clients often come with a particular therapist in mind– however, availability may be limited and many times there’s another clinician (therapist) who actually suits their needs even better.
Please trust the process.

What to expect from me
My name is Janice (she/hers). I aim to create with you a safe space to heal root patterns, build resilience, and honor your best self.
My Therapy Style
My therapy style continues to evolve and strengthen over time. I am my authentic self due to a groundness in ethnocultural empathy, being a systems-thinker, and being Person-Centered. My first priority is building a genuine, warm, and secure therapeutic relationship where you can explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. Together, we will look at your challenges through a trauma-informed lens to help you understand your body's natural survival responses and building true somatic grounding. I provide an affirming environment for LGBTQIA+, non-binary, and gender-expansive individuals. Your identity is celebrated here, and we will actively hold space for the complex realities of minority stress, systemic invalidation, and the journey of living authentically. I employ strategies that can honor your past while also equipping your present. I provide practical, CBT tools to help you identify unhelpful thought loops, break free from catastrophizing, and build actionable coping strategies for daily life.To create lasting change, we can also gently look beneath the surface to explore recurring relational patterns, early life attachment history, and the underlying roots of your current behaviors.
What I’m Passionate About
My passion for social justice and social action has informed my appreciation for strong therapeutic work. I know taking the first step toward therapy requires immense courage - and if you are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, navigating life transitions, or carrying the heavy weight of trauma, you do not have to carry it alone. I am here to work alongside you in a compassionate, deeply collaborative, and non-judgmental space where you can feel seen, heard, and valued. My practice is built on a holistic, integrative approach designed to support both your immediate well-being and your long-term healing.
Who I Work With
Transitional aged youth (18-25) and adults.
Me When I’m Not a Therapist
Outside of therapy, my social work extends into higher education where I'm a social work professor. My most favorite hobby is BTS, who reminds everyone to Love Themselves. And I cannot forget to note my deep love for labrador retrievers.
